Devotees flock the temple from 6:00 in the morning till 8:30 at night, since the doors remain open throughout the day.
It is said in the ancient scriptures that the Divine Mother does not descend to the Earth alone – She is escorted by all the three hundred and thirty billion forms of Divinity. In this temple, some of these divine forms in Her retinue are also enshrined as Siddhi Vinayaka (Lord Ganesha), Lakshmi Narayana (Lord Vishnu with Goddess Lakshmi), Mouktikeshwara (Lord Shiva), Saraswati, Anjaneya and Mundini. Kshetra Palaka and Shiva Bhaskara flank the entrance of the temple as Her sentinels, and Dakshinamurthy – Lord Shiva in the form of the first Guru – has been consecrated in the meditation hall.
